Apple Faces Danger From Android

Android is steadily growing its share almost all over the world and remains the world’s most popular operating system, according to the latest report by UK-based analysts from Kantar Worldpanel ComTech.

The Kantar report focuses on the state of the mobile market in the United States, the UK and Europe as a whole in the third quarter of 2015.

According to the report,Android leads in the United States, but with less. Its commanding 66.4% share has shrunken down to 57.5%, cannibalized by the growth of the iPhone which now has a 35.7% share. Interestingly, RIM has now become less popular than Windows Phone, but both have a very marginal sub-3% representation in the States.

Outside the States, Android is the market leader growing share. In Great Britain, Android controls 58.2% of the market, followed by the iPhone with 28%.In Europe, Android has an impressive 67.1% while the iPhone is a distant second with 16.5%.

Android remains top dog in US and Europe, market share down however in the States                 Interestingly  Kantar thinks that for the week or so of availability, the iPhone 5 has swung the stakes in favor of Apple:“We can see that in markets with a large number of existing Apple customers, sales have already seen a significant boost. We expect this momentum to be fully realized in the next set of results,“ Kantar analyst Dominic Sunnebo said.

700,000 Apps Now In Play Store

Just a few days earlier we saw that WP has 125000 apps in its store. While Apple was ahead in the numbers game as far as application in its store are concerned with Android, Google was quickly closing the gap. It appears that the Play Store has now reached another important landmark and has now, according to Mountain View, managed to catch up to Apple.
Satisfied,huh?

While its absolutely true that quantity is not the defining factor — as there are a lot of mediocre apps in  every application markets — Android fans will surely be excited to hear the news. Apple has just recently told everyone that it paid $6.5 billion to developers since the introduction of its online store. Also, the tablet market and dedicated apps seem to the a bragging topic: Apple is proud to have more than 275,000 applications developed especially for the iPad, while Google is still struggling in that specific chapter.

Samsung Brings Out Ativ Ads

Only a day has passed since Windows phone 8 was launched and today we’re seeing Samsung push out its entire ATIV-branded product family in its latest ad.

That’s the ATIV Smart PC Pro tablet running full Windows 8, ATIV S Windows Phone launched at IFA and rarely seen ever since, and the ATIV TAB running the stripped-down version of Windows 8 for ARM-CPU-powered tablets, Windows RT.

Galaxy S IV To Use Exynos 5450 Chipset

The Nexus 10 tablet uses the next-gen Exynos  chipset - an Exynos 5 with two Cortex-A15 cores at 1.7GHz and Mali-604 GPU (the same chipset as the new Chromebook).
So, rumors that the next Samsung Galaxy S IV will use an Exynos 5 chipset should come as no surprise. It points to the Exynos 5450 - with a quad-core A15 processor, clocked at 2GHz and a beefier Mali-658 GPU..

Now, the main problem is power usage. With four Cortex-A15 cores and eight GPU cores, even a big battery would be drained pretty quickly. The Exynos 5450 will be made on a 28nm process (instead of 32nm as the Exynos 5250) and the CPU will probably be downclocked to at least 1.7GHz, but even then battery might be an issue.
Anyway, we wouldn't be surprised to see an Exynos 5250 inside next year's Galaxy S flagship, since the Galaxy S IV has to be made simply awesome.

New Features of Android 4.2

As I have already said that Android 4.2 is still called jellybean and not key Lime Pie .That said don't think that 4.1 & 4.2 versions are the same.Nopes.Google has introduced several new features in this version. So lets take a look at them.

1.Gesture Typing

Android 4.2 includes a re-worked keyboard that’s supposed to make typing “easier than ever” by letting you Swype ”glide” your finger over the letters you want to type. When you’re done with a word just lift your finger and Android will automatically add a space for you.

The dictionaries have been improved as well so that predictions are much faster allowing for super fast typing.

2.Camera

new camera
360-degree immersion
The camera has been reworked, adding an entirely new photo experience they’re calling “Photo Sphere“. Unlike the “old” panorama mode, Photo Sphere takes individual shots and wires them together to create “stunning 360-degree immersive experiences that you can share on Google+ with friends and family”.

3.Multi-User Suuport

When I first heard of this I was really excited. What it simply means that you can now set up multiple users, so everybody can have their own space. They can set their wall own homescreen and wallpaper, widgets and apps, and they can even have individual high scores and levels on their games. (It sounds like each user will have to buy their own copy of apps, but this has yet to be confirmed.)
However, the sad news is that  this feature is for tablets only .

4.Google Now

Google Now got a HUGE update. It can now tell you more information about flights, hotels, restaurant reservations, events, shipped packages, movies, concerts, stocks, developing and breaking news stories, and even nearby attractions and photo spots.

5.SubHeading

If you’ve got a dock for your phone or tablet you be sad about the fact that, when docked, your device is essentially a “big desk-clock”. Android 4.2′s “Daydream feature” lets you display your photo albums or even news from Google Currents and “more”. Not only that, apparently this feature works when docked or when “idle” .

So these are the new features in Android 4.2.I personally think that Google is doing a great job with its OS.What do you have to say?Let me know in the comments

Blackberry 10 Boot Up Screen Leaked

We are already seeing different aspects of the Blackberry 10,though it will not be released before 2013. Those are proofs that Blackberry 10 is going to be quite different. However, BlackBerry 10 faces stiff competition now,and needs to have a few features that make you say, "Wow!" . Merely matching Android will not be enough for RIM.

Above, you can see a pivture  that shows the first "L" series model of BlackBerry 10 getting booted up. As you can tell by the percentage indicator on the screen, this is going to be a much different look than what you see booting up your BlackBerry 7 device.

RIM is still on track to launch BlackBerry 10 in the first quarter of 2013. And everything needs to go smoothly without a repeat of the BlackBerry Storm 9530 launch debacle that saw huge number of Verizon customers buy the device thinking that it would approach the Apple iPhone in quality and functionality. But that was under the old regime. Thorsten Heins and crew knows that this is RIM's ultimate shot at proving that Blackberry is still not gone from the mobile world.
