ARMED! Game Review

English: nokia e63
 Nokia e63
ARMED! is a WP strategy 3D game created by LLC.Well, strategy games are one of my favourites and I am pretty sure that there are many others  who love strategy games.Well ,I used to have a few strategy games in my Nokia E63(though I have forgotten the names now) .What I mainly like about these games is that  you have to use your brains in order to win it.So lets proceed with our review.

ARMED! has not only come to the WP7 store but also the WP8 store as well. But these games we simply mean that the player and the computer will simultaneously develop their forces and then launch an attack on their opponents.

However, what makes it unique is that it has an online  multi player mode. But you do not have to play continuously .

Instead, the multi-player aspect of this game is managed through a central server, which sends a push notification to you, via Toasts and a counter on the live tile, when your opponent has made their move. Player matching is performed via the third party Scoreloop service. There's also a 'local' mode where each player passes the phone back and forth – old school.

The game costs £2.29 but if that is a bit expensive for you then a free ad-supported trial mode is also available.

Samsung Galaxy Note II

Samsung's World Note II is a huge upgrade on its antecedent – Matt Warman expresses he needs one.

When Samsung started the first System Note the previous year, it was the most effective telephone on the business sector but it was additionally criticised for being either too huge to be a telephone or excessively humble to be a tablet, and its ‘S Pen’ stylus wasn’t as effortless to utilize as the standard pen or pencil that it was touted as a displacement for.

It went ahead, regardless, to pitch more than 10million units. My specific at first negative emotions were soon expeled following I invested more time with it and saw others animated concerning its plausible outcomes. The screen was great, it was quick for network searching, gaming and viewing films or Television. The Note ended up being a convenient voyaging sidekick resulting from the fact that it fits effortlessly on even the most diminutive sharpen or plane table, but is more than huge enough for what most folks require.

Notwithstanding, nonetheless, the brand new Note II has been started. Its screen is uncommon – the late HD Super Amoled 5.5” presentation is more propelling than ever, its 1.6MHz quad-heart processor is quicker than ever, the electric cell keeps up longer and the S Pen has been redesigned to furnish immense enhancements over its ancestor. Granted that its actually 0.7” more extensive than the Universe S3 cellular telephone, the unit feels particularly contrasting. It's absolutely unlike all else on the business sector.

So while the Note II is simply an iterative enhancement over its antecedent it feels far completely structured. This is an apparatus that now recognises my penmanship snappy enough to be usable, and permits me to explain pictures or online elements with the simplicity that the first Note hurt for. While a come back to the stylus felt similar to a retrograde step, now Samsung have included ‘Air View’ an item that permits you to see sees of, express, messages or schedule errands provided that you float the S Pen over an article, or pop out a movie and keep it on screen while you’re doing something else. It makes a certified contrast and greatly works truly well. While I battled to make the S Pen motions work reliably – frequently the gadget deciphered the line that would be supposed to present a space as a hyphen – even the aforementioned too are broadly accommodating.

Samsung, too, have made the S Pen completely combined – basically haul it out and up pops a late, spotless note, case in point. Every last trace of the proposed components join together to make the Note look gorgeous, and feel shockingly better to utilize. The Note merits to push a large number of more than its mainstream processor, to a limited extent down to Samsung's specific tolerable programming.

In the event that there are blames, they feel prefer truly subjective bandy – its still too huge for overwhelmingly individuals to prefer to utilize it as a telephone, but that would be impossible to amaze prospective buyers. It's not an aggregate displacement for pen and paper but its sufficient for utilizing on the head off in the event that you should, and the brand new offer that gives you a chance to include a note the ‘back’ of a computerized photo is prodigy.

It's moreover blatantly too huge to be utilized one given, even as a part of ‘One gave mode’ where the console sits to one side. In any case how regularly do you need to utilize a mechanism for example this one gave? The zoom lens isn’t flawless, but the singing power of the unit more than makes up for that with its fast network searching. I couldn’t spot an application that made it remotely work, and it has an electric cell existence that is bounty for the most part transatlantic flights.

On 4G, it will accord a for the most part background as yet exceptional in the UK. With the included reward of Android Jam Bean and Google Now, its difficult to recognize any explanation not to propose the System Note. At around £30 for each month, or harshly £500 unlocked, its not disagreeable esteem either – for that cash you're getting a unprecedented telephone and a staggering tablet.

The frozen custard Sandwich form of Google's portable managing framework will land on HTC telephones early afterward year--but don't look for it on all models.

HTC, which rose to smartphone unmistakable quality with Google's Android working framework, will start offering the late gelato Sandwich form in "right on time 2015," the outfit expressed today.

Look for Android 4.0 on some, but not all units. HTC offered this preparatory post on its Facebook page:

HTC knows how electrified our fans are to get their involved Google's most cutting edge form of Android, frozen dessert Sandwich, so we're thrilled today to affirm the first wave of HTC telephones that will gain redesigns: We can affirm the mark newfangled HTC Vivid, on special starting today, is upgradeable to frozen dessert Sandwich. Besides, sorbet Sandwich is going in promptly 2015 to a mixed bag of mechanisms incorporating the HTC Sensation, HTC Sensation XL and HTC Sensation XE, and additionally the HTC Rezound, HTC EVO 3D, HTC EVO Plan 4G and HTC Surprise 4G through close joining with our transporter mates.

There probable could be more, but HTC isn't dedicating yet. "We're carrying on to evaluate our feature portfolio, so stay tuned for additional redesigns on unit redesigns, timing, and different portions about HTC and frozen custard Sandwich," HTC expressed.

Android overhauls are a disagreeable matter. Google's late working frameworks should sift through telephone producers and portable system drivers before touching base in clients' hands, and that might be an extended methodology even in the cases where it happens. More senior Android telephones would not be able to handle late Android forms, and transporters that have redone the OS with their specific emphasizes need to re-alter it for upgrades.

In an investigation of 18 Android telephones, Michael Degusta found the Android telephones slacked iPhone models in backing for brand new forms of the working framework. Holders of even more current Android models aren't wrong to doubt that they'll see sorbet Sandwich on their telephones.

iPhone 5 Purple Flare Solution?

Many of the consumers of the Apple products, mostly those using the iPhone 5, have a common problem- the iPhone 5s camera and flash seems to have a “purple flare” problem that is rather frustrating since the photographs taken using this camera end up marred by the flare, which appears at the edge of the camera. Bellow is an image comparing the quality of the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S and a Nikon D300.

Due to the numerous complaints, Apple released an explanation for this strange and seemingly unforeseen problem and the general consensus, as always, was that the fault lies with the user. This is basically the standard used by Apple spokespeople when confronted with an issue, any issue; the carpenter blaming his tools rather than themselves for work gone wrong!

According to the company, the “purple flare” problem is not a hardware issue with the iPhone 5’s camera, but rather the user’s limited knowledge of the art of photography. Oh really?! They explained away the problem by stating that the issue of the flare appearing at the edge of the camera was caused by out-of-scene light sources. Apparently, when a source of light is placed at an angle, it reflects off the surface causing the flare.

More problems! Are the users really to blame? We think not!
After giving an informed diagnosis, Apple went on to suggest that users should correct the issue by altering the position of the camera to reduce the amount of bright light entering the camera’s lens or shielding the camera with one’s hand to minimize the flare. It can be assumed that some, if not most, of the customers had already tried these “solutions” therefore it doesn’t really change the fact that the problem is still there.

Other generations of the Apple iPhones, for instance the iPhone 4S, have not had this issue therefore it cannot be the user’s fault, rather not entirely. Being the most advanced smartphone currently on the market, one would assume that the iPhone 5 would not have such issues, but alas! To top it all off, the users are being used as scapegoats while Apple buys time to find an adequate solution for future models. Generally, Apple needs to find a permanent solution for the “purple flare” problem and not expect the users to reduce or deal with it by using a fleshy appendage.

Nokia Involved In Testin Solar Charging

Nokia DC-40

Nokia has announced the launch of a new charging accessory, the Nokia Portable Solar Charger (DC-40), as part of a pilot project to test the viability of solar charging. The DC-40, which will only be available, in limited quantities, in select African markets, aims is to provide an alternative charging method for mobile phones in areas where there is no electricity supply, or the supply is unreliable.

It's easy to forget that mobile phones have become so ubiquitous that they have spread further that the power grid that the majority of people rely on to recharge a phone's battery. According to Nokia, a recent World Bank report indicated, that between 2007 and 2011, only 16% of Kenyans, and 51% of Nigerians, has regular access to electricity.

Nokia has previously look at a number of other solutions to get around this issue, including the Nokia Bicycle Charger Kit, and has carried out research to explore the viability of building solar panels into phones, but this is the first time it has launched a solar charging accessory. The pilot project will collect feedback from users of the new accessory about how effective it is in day-to-day use. Following this an assessment about whether to make the accessory more widely available will be carried out.

In Kenya the DC-40 will cost 1250 Kenyan shillings, which is the equivalent of around £9 ($15 / €11). The DC-40 takes the form of a thin film panel, weighing 93g, and measuring 165mm x 237mm, with a long cable and 2mm Nokia charging plug attached in one corner. Nokia say that one minute of charging will give two minutes of talk time [on a feature phone]. In ideal conditions, with direct sunlight, a 1000 mAh battery will be full after around 4 hours.

Bruce Howe, General Manager for Nokia East Africa, said:

"There are numerous advantages to this solution, including being able to service consumers outside of regular electricity supply, or those who need a quick charge on the go. However, perhaps the greatest benefit is the cost saving achieved by being able to harness the natural resource of the sun.

Nokia prides itself on its ongoing sustainability programs to minimize power usage. This solar charger provides an extremely environmentally friendly solution that is free of CO2 emissions."
